Yes. I cut mine off where they started to bend, then rebent them An inch lower. Could have gone lower. It makes it draw so much better. Put some decent bands on it and you are set. It’s a real stout frame. I think they are produced right up the road from me at the Umerex factory. I seriously hope they aren’t importing them.

1- By lowering the forks you guys mean putting them one level down in place of the wrist brace?
2- If I wanted to leave the wrist brace would it be possible to cut down some of the forks and bend them?
1- No
2- Yes
Cut the forks way down & rebend them forward.
A lot of these style of slingshots need lighter bands put on them because the bolts that hold the forks are not strong enough to handle heavy tubes, allowing the forks to slip back when drawn drawn. Does this mount/ handle have the strength needed to hold them in place?

Looks nice! Yeah, I do hope they manufacture their own slingshots too and not outsourced to China.

What do you use to bend this thick rods? For now I tried to bend the rods of wrist band so they go lower. I did it in the vice but one side bent little more. I don't image how much force is needed to bend this 90 degrees. Should I warm them up first?
As for the mount it's very sturdy. On top there is a metal plate that tightens everything with two big screws, no way this can break or something no matter how strong bands you use.

Yesterday I tried to shoot this slingshot for the first time and I'm too weak for it currently :) I can't reach with the drawing hand to my chick (I lack 5-10 cm), when I try too hard everything starts to shake :) Maybe the Scout LT will be easier for a start, at least mounting weaker band will be easier.

I used a plumbing torch and MAP gas to heat em up. If you have access to a vice and a big pare of plyers it’s pretty easy.
I’ll get you a picture of mine.

A couple bolts in a piece of wood, clamped into a vice makes a great tubing bender. Filling the tube with sand will keep it round when bending, just duct tape the ends.
Kind of like this but simpler -

These Ijust heated up in a vice and bent them with a pair of plyers.
I should have gone even lower where the sight (zip tie) is.
