Step 1. Make hot fire.
Step 2. Crush up shelf full of monster cans from all the kids.

Step 3. Put cans in coffee can and put coffee can in hot fire.

Step 4. Wait till cans melt and remove slag.
Step 5. Have pre carved wooden slingshot mold ready. (Burn it with a torch if you have not used it yet.

Step 6. Pour hot aluminum from coffee can into mold.

Step 7. Wait.

Step 8. Wait some more.
Step 9. Remove badass slingshot from mold.

Step 10. A bit of sanding, a bit of filing and apply bandset.

Here are some pics of this experiment. Simple wood block mold:

Fire, pipe and hair dryer! That is how I built my first forge!

My question is...what the heck is a monster can?

You have to forgive me, been over 40 years since I had kids around me full time.
Monster is a terrible energy drink that the kids in my school love. I have them save the cans and I use them for stuff like this after the kids go home.

U know if u made a styrofoam mould of a slingshot buried in sand works a lot better
I understand that there are different ways to do it. If I were going to do it correctly I would make a porcelain mold, This happened because they canceled school and I had a bunch of materials I need to utilize so I made due with what was on hand. Plus foam won't give you the cool burnt wood texture.
