I have I have shredded many cans with NO PROBLEMs!

1) I have not seen any evidence of the cuffs sliping,

2) nor have a had a band to break or tear at the cuff.

I have had the exact same experience with cuff only at the pouch. As long as the cuff is tight there's no slippage, no wear and it has a clean look. Been using cuffs only for many thousands of shots and have never had any slippage or damage at the cuff area.
