Well the Dayhiker tubes finaly went so I decided to take it up a notch and went to 4 tubes per side and this is a solid shooter. Dahiker thought of a simple doweling method of holding the bands secured. Oh, and Im not shooting this one over the top.

Wow, man!!! That isn't a plinker any more -- it's a plinker-sized hunter. Hope you don't blow it up.

BTW, Darrell, that's not my idea of attachment, I learned it from the great Smitty.

This shooter is a result of a Barter/Exchange from Dahiker. Ok, I also appreciated the Smitty Idea of Dowel Attachment, your a Genius of simplicity Smitty. This shooter just feels right and a very potent contender.

Darrell, I woke up this morning worrying about you and this slingshot. I never designed it for that kind of strong setup. Remember, it is only a boardcut and it is only about a half-inch thick. It's not the multiplex you are used to using. A fork hit with those tubes may indeed blow it up and back into your face. Please be careful. I like you and wouldn't want to see you get hurt.

Here's an idea: Why don't you trace this onto some of your baltic birch and make a strong one?

Ok, I will use some caution and I would not want to break it. Have not hit a fork for a long while so I guess Im due for one. I might do this one on a 1/2 Baltic Birch. This one offers a great pattern.

Thanks for the Heads up.
