this morning i unwraped a bigg christmas gift. not knowing my parents gave a hoot about my slingshots i opened the box and behold i found a RIDGED oscillating edge belt/spindle sander. Devan and I have been using a dremel to sand the edges and this should increase the finish of our slingshot buy far. At the end of gift opening my dad went into the closet and pulled out a box full of 1" thick hondoras rosewood scraps from a friend of his who make musical instruments. For those of you who dont know, the retail price on the wood i got is about 20$ a sq/ft. They are all big enough for palm swells and i have 2 1"x5" pieces for laminates. after that i talked to Devan and he got a 14" grizzly band saw. For cutting Devan has been using a jig saw that was really badly banged up. We will begin laminating and making more slingshots for production soon. i have added pictures of the grizzly bandsaw, and RIDGED sander.

I have the rigid, same as yours. It does the job admirably. The finer grit belt you put on it, expect to attend to adjusting the tracking more. With a strong vacuum the dust collection is not too bad either.

Evan,

You are blessed to have generous parents that also wish to support your hobby.

I look forward to seeing many more well finished slingshots from you.
