Oak is very strong wood and I love it. But if it is very dry - like from an old piano - I would be afraid that it would tend to split on impact with ammo.

BTW, this giving away of pianos in Sweden . . . I am of Norwegian ancestry and all of my Norwegian relatives from the old country told me that the Swedes were a little

if you just go there and take it away so the seler don't have to move it, they give it for free! I just saw 10 nice ones for free or under 10$, and there is a lot of wood on a piano=)
