I'd be a little concerned about the edges - but its probably doable. Seems like a fair amount of extra work though for the result. May be easier just using hardwood in the first place. You could use a core or insert rods etc. for extra strength if required.

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone tried "edge banding" the corners of a plywood boardcut with veneer thereby creating a faux solid hardwood slingshot?
Diocletian since the edges on most all frames are rounded over. I am trying to picture how it would be possible to laminate a rounded edge ?

I usually coat the exposed edges (laminates) of my plywood frames with Ca glue to seal and strengthen them. I suppose it would be possible to paint the edges in a solid color to hide the laminates.
