What are you building today?

Ok….so it’s no secret we all love build pics. On other platforms folks post build and progress pics all the time, so I thought it would be cool to start a thread where we could post what we’re working on, or an idea we have, or even a question. A place to share where we might not want to take up a entire thread. Just a hub for builders to hang out:)

I will start it off! Todays project was this HHPFS in the classic layout of polished bronze and aluminum! Still my favourite!

Thank you sir! There are so many different colors in the heart wood of guayucan. Greens grays, browns, orange, red, and even purples. It's super hard wood and difficult to work but it shines up brilliant with just sandpaper. My favorite wood to work with!

That looks incredible! Probably pretty spicy with .7 latex and 11mm steel fork hit. 👹

Started today roughing out a frame on this rainy day. Just letting the wood do its thing.

We were dog sitting for some friends last fall and I found a Rhododendron stump they had ripped out of the ground and thrown into their back woods. It had a nice fork in it so naturally I asked if they minded me cutting it off, no problem...ffwd...just got back there about a month ago and grabbed it. Definitely has some admirable qualities. I think it's going to sand up nicely when done and a little BLO ought to make it shine...

Busted Pulaski handle at work. Thinking it might work for a small sling. Anyone ever try an axe handle for a sling before? Just under 3” wide. Maybe a PFS with the rest. Just playing around with ideas in my head at the moment.
