Hi guys,

made some ott slingshots with clips, and want to ask which kind of clips do you prefer.

Toolless clips with knurled screws, or clips with normal screws so that you need a screwdriver or some kind of tool to open or close it.

I would normally say toolless is always better, but it makes the slingshot more bulky so that it's more difficult to carry it for example in your trouser pocket.

I wasn´t sure what fits better to me so I decided to build both kinds.

I say normal screws

I would prefer Allen screws because the required tool is very small and easy to carry.

I use both methods - the individual frame will usually dictate which one. Knurl screws protrude more but cargo pockets accommodate that. Also, I have 2 short screwdrivers and a 4" adjustable wrench on my key chain.

I like the toolless ones. I do like the smaller profile of the screws though. But maybe ones that can be tightened with a coin?

I like the knurled one. To me it looks more aesthetically pleasing.

i would go with regular,although i kind of like Fastys idea of allen heads,either way those are some Nice SS!

Both could have their uses. I do like the idea of the knurled knobs for tool-less band changes. but I also like the cleaner appearance of the normal screw heads.

Nice job! If given the option I like tool-less thumbscrews or a slotted screw that a coin can adjust.
