Try a thong release instead of a pinch grip tom avoid breaking the ball in the pouch.

You want long bands like express bands to maximise your reach without over-muscling the ball. Express bands are about the right draw weight too.

Radical fork extensions are good, giving you a longer draw with an accurate under the eye pouch position.

Fork width medium-wide. Not radically narrow. Not radically low.

Use a wrist guard if legal.

The slingshot in Flatband's current avatar looks good.
