The slingshot will win hands down, unless the airgun is from the Philippines.

As far as I know, the heavy weight world champion of air rifles is Korean:

http://www.airgundep...slayer-771.html

...192 ft-lbs, .50 caliber, "spits" its 200 grains bullet at 567 fps.

Free of any license in Belgium (Hunting License needed in France and Germany, though)
But then you can only do 3 good and 2 mediocre shots... and then 200 strokes with the pump to reload!

A slingshot with "Hunterbands" will do about 30 Joules with 15 mm balls. Typical airguns have between 7,5 and 16 Joules.

I know, Jörg, but don't tell me that 200 hundred pumps would be a problem to you...

You're right, the **** thing is almost useless until you're sitting by a high-pressure compressor all the time!
Some high power kits are available for upgrading some .177 and .22 airrifles up to 23 joules as well (for "Field Target" purposes)...not beyond I reckon.
But please, don't take my head for a "coconut".

Do you mean ARMSCOR

I don't know, but the home made jobbies the locals take hunting are legendary. They defy the laws of physics, let alone the laws of the Crown (12 poxy foot pounds).
