I like a wider fork to start with, you can always cut it down a mite, but it's hard to put it back.

Let it sit in the boiled linseed oil a hour or 2 sometimes over night

Looks like a nice one fella how long your oil take to dry . Man some stuff I have could be 3 days ;-(
