Finally got this one finished, between trying to sell my house and working crazy over time, it was a challenge. The main fork is a piece of dead buck thorn I found years ago, and still managed to crack all over once I cut into it ???????? For the palm swell I used some oak cut offs I had from an old project. I spent last night watching an episode of my show and finishing it with some danish oil, the only thing I might go back and add is an aiming dimple. This is the only frame I am going to shoot for the foreseeable future, until I can either complete every challenge on the forum, or one year from now, which ever comes first lol

Looks very comfy and a joy to shoot I bet....agree an aiming dimp would help, but shot it bunches first to see what the best place for it is.....I'm guessing it's usually center of the fork tip, but I don't shoot TTF....yet, so not sure

Thanks guys! @ sling-n-shot, I just carved in a dimple, after shooting a bunch it did seem to be right about center once I figured out my floating anchor. Did you used to ha e a different name on here?

Ok fella,
you have it banded up. What is the distance inches between the bands where they leave the forks. From the photos, I'd guess 3 1/2 inches. But guys are saying "nice little shooter"
Don't look little to me, looks just about right.

@Ibojoe, thanks man, I am looking forward to making them and attempting the challenges! The only ones I seek to complete are the accuracy ones, some of these guys make it look so easy!

@flatband thanks bud! I spent quite a bit of time on it trying to make sure I will be happy, with only keeping this one at my side for the foreseeable future lol
@SJAaz I will attach a picture with the forks by a ruler, I am not sure where you mean to measure. The whole thing from outside of fork tip to outside of fork tip though is just a whisker under three inches. I have already shot it a bunch, only 1/4 inch steel but everything has been flying straight and true so far!
That is a beautiful SS. Can't beat the ones you make yourself
