I always hate the wait when paint is drying, epoxy is curing, or resin is hardening. Today is no exception. I had the idea of doing a slab of resin and a pair of thrift store blue jeans. I even left the seam in the press to be sure and give it the "blue jeans look". This first photo is the aftermath of the pressed resin and fabric. I'll post more photos as soon as its hard enough to take out of the press.

I just learned 1 of 1000 ways how not to make a slingshot. The indigo blue was way too dark, and the dings in my press created some unresolved visual issues. Next time lighter color blue denim and a new press setup. The free flow slingshot design is new to me me and I will keep it. I'll keep wet sanding and post final pics later today.

You done great. What kind of resin did you use in this project?

Fiberglass resin from the local auto parts store... I've tried other hobby store clear resins, but they were too "rubbery". Fiberglass holds up well and is relatively easy to work.
