I know of no problems with it, other than the couple Magnolia forks I had were rather bland as far as grain goes.

Magnolia makes a great frame. Its nice and strong and it forks well. As DSIL said, the grain is sorta plain, but it'll take a wood stain nicely, and there are other finishing techniques that you can do as well.

You can find some Magnolia branches though, with amazing grain.
