Made a pocket shooter out of a yew fork.
Unfortunately the core has some small cracks but nervertheless it will work.
It has a 1 3/8 fork gab and is finished with BLO and wax.

cracks, especially with natural forks, usually add to the beauty of the piece rather than subtract.

if they are serious there is always a way to fix them.

once, I had a beautiful cherry-plum fork which developed deep cracks and I threw it away, but when I learned here in the forum that almost any kind of damage to the forks can be taken care of - I grew ears as a donkey - and never again..

you made a beautiful piece, enjoy.

cheers,

jazz
