Nice forks John, you know my thought on splits....splits and cracks are just an opportunity for inlay brother....it's not hard and gives a great pop of colorOne split but should be ok

Aye it's a really tight grained wood with a lot of hiccups...I split a trunk (or tried to) into quarters yince (..intending to get some bow staves) & it took more twists & turns than a snake inahurry! I gave up. :iono:Leave them dry naturaly for about 12 months
