I Need Flatband Samples for Testing

Hello all, i have access to tensile testing machines and i would like to compare the various flatband materials available, problem is i don't have a lot of flatband material. All i have is natural gum rubber rubber bands (#107's) and a sheet of 1/16" gum rubber. I'd like to test theraband gold, theraband black, other gum rubber samples, any other flat band material you would be interested in testing.

The results i can get are Tensile strength at peak, tensile at break, elongation, TEA (total energy absorbed), modulus of elasticity, etc, as well as the plot of the test. I'll write a report and post it to this site if i get enough samples to make it interesting. this is where i need your help.

What I need:
If you have material that you want included i need 3 samples that are 5/8" wide and 4" long (the results will be an average of three tests).
So if you are willing to donate a small bit of flat band material in the name of slingshot science send me a personal message.

thanks in advance, Dan.

No problem Dan, i like this kind of work and i don't intend to make money off of it, so my data is your data

In fact, if you just mention that i did the work in your report, i can just send you the data and plots and you can incorporate it into your blog since you would be better qualified to interpret the results as it relates to slingshots than i would.

I sent a PM to you.

do you think 5/8 is a good width to test? would 1/2" or 3/4" be more applicable to common slingshot bands? i can test anything up to 1" width.

should we settle on 1" width then? that is fine with me.

ZDP, if you want to send me samples of 1" width i'll get them tested.
