Let's say you are right handed, but left eye dominant. Could this be corrected by shooting with both eyes open?

I've never really understood the whole eye dominance thing with shooting. people seem to think left eye dominant means "right eye blind." I'm left-eye dominant and it has never bothered me once; maybe other people have a stronger dominance or something.

I never understood it much either until someone showed me how it works. Sorry if this is known by many and it's old news, but it did help me. What you do is take your index finger and point at something about 15-20 feet away (like a door knob). Point at it with both eyes open. When you have it lined up good, without moving your hand or finger, slowly close one eye and then the other. You will see that with one eye the finger is still pointing at the object (your dominate eye) then the other eye, the finger may be an inch or two away from the object you were pointing at (non-dominate eye).

Well for my self my friend..I hold the shooter in my Left hand Pulling back with my right...In my case I have to use my right too see & aim

almost blind in the left eye..I still leave both eyes open tho....You just have to make what works for you....Even with correctied vision(eye glass's)..

As for myself ..Hey I know I any old by age & have a few health issue's...But I am like a old timex watch....just keep on ticking........OM

tag ----i shoot like you holding slingshot in left hand - left eye dominate , but have too close left eye when shooting to make

things line up . holding both eyes open doesn't help , you still line up with master eye . bet you get a lot of fork hits,

and shots going to the left . shooting slingshots with wide , deep forks helps me alot . i am making one now

that has a 3 3/4 `` inch opening... over the top bands seem to be more forgiving too ,as well as smaller ammo

gives more clearance . get more fork hits with marbles !! can`t seem to shoot a pfs slingshot too good

either and think thats caused by bad frame - band alignment from swapping aiming eye shot to shot .

good luck with it --------------frank
