Let's say you are right handed, but left eye dominant. Could this be corrected by shooting with both eyes open?
I never understood it much either until someone showed me how it works. Sorry if this is known by many and it's old news, but it did help me. What you do is take your index finger and point at something about 15-20 feet away (like a door knob). Point at it with both eyes open. When you have it lined up good, without moving your hand or finger, slowly close one eye and then the other. You will see that with one eye the finger is still pointing at the object (your dominate eye) then the other eye, the finger may be an inch or two away from the object you were pointing at (non-dominate eye).I've never really understood the whole eye dominance thing with shooting. people seem to think left eye dominant means "right eye blind." I'm left-eye dominant and it has never bothered me once; maybe other people have a stronger dominance or something.
