Stock cones too small

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to adjust stock Cold Steel cones. I just received a 4ft professional.625 Cold Steel blowgun and the included dart cones measure from .605 to .623 inches. The barrel measures at .6255 inches. Pretty much spot on, only a half thousandths off. I also ordered some cold steel stun and rat darts, same as the others, they all just fall out of the barrel. So much blow by. I've made my own for my 1/2 pvc, ill probably need to do the same for the 4ft professional. Any ideas are appreciated

Yea, I wasn't impressed with the Cold Steel cones either. But then I used to use beads & sowing needles back in the day. You can work the cones out with a marble, but you need to do it right before shooting. I haven't tried heating them, but that would probably work. I like the lighter wire cone set up here>

I've considered those prior to ordering some from Cabela's ( had an old Christmas gift card)

I have a "cone former" coming tomorrow I'll mess around with for a while. Guess I am just used to the fitment of my home made drivers for my 1/2 PVC blow gun.

Soften the cones in hot water, then press onto something round like a big steel ball or marble to flare it out.
