I'm not a lunatic/crazed/ knife collector, not searching for the "latest or best must-haves", hardly use them, but over 80 years, I've collected a "few".

I've always been intrigued by the quality and very reasonable price, of the MORA brand knives. I knew that I had ordered a bunch, carbon steel and stainless steel, utility and so-called "Bushcrafting" knives, over the years.

Today, just for the Halibut, I took a look at my Amazon MORA orders, and found that I've ordered/accumulated THIRTEEN MORA knives! Holy bladesness, Batman!

(That almost beats the number of tinwistles I own, 17)

I wish I could show an image of the inventory sheet, but this new Windows 11 and iPhone imges are not playing well together. I need a techie!

"Coticule" and I are strangers. I use diamond stones by "Sharpal" to sharpen my Victorinox kitchen knives.

I somehow fell into that deep rabbit hole of knife collecting which was another passion of mine, both pocketknives and fixed blade knives, some are pretty expensive for what they are but I do have quite a few Mora knives as well for they are very practical and do their job well. Why I even have one Mora out in my little log cabin by my backyard pond that I use for cleaning my fish that I freshly caught. Don't let anyone kid you, they can fillet a fish right with the best of them even with their scandi grind. Yea man, I can almost smell that process of cleaning a bunch of fish now.Like roses in the air.

The mora on the far right is one of my favorite neck knives. The knife on the far left is not really a neck knife size but it is my field dressing knife for whitetail deer, a Frontier Valley by LT Wright.. I use it often while on stand so I like it handy around my neck when I have heavy winter clothes on. Knives on the belt are a pain to get to when you need them at that time of year.

I need to lighten my knife load a little bit. Collecting is fun but I’m starting to learn the wisdom of “Less is more” too. Also “The more you know, the less you need”. I can thank Cody “barefoot Hippy” Lundin for that little gem.
